Perennials to headline R68 DNC events

The ever-blubbering Cindy "Mother" Sheehan will be featured speaker at the group's anti-war march and rally Sunday, while rap nostalgia act Public Enemy will give a free concert on the 26th, the Rocky says.

The Post:
Sheehan plans to speak during a 9 a.m. rally on the Sunday before the Democratic National Convention begins.

Organizers say her speech will take place on the steps of the state Capitol on Aug. 24 just before Re-create 68's scheduled march to the Pepsi Center. . . .

Re-create 68 co-founder, Glenn Spagnuolo, said Public Enemy's free concert [2 p.m. Tuesday, Civic Center Park] is "an action in itself."
