Friday Night at the Radio!

D-day broadcasts. Maybe they'll knock down the stench of R6!8 a little. I've played this one before. Fibber McGee and Molly: "D-Day Broadcast." Show is given over to patriotic tunes by the Billy Mills Orchestra so they can break in with news at any time (6 June 1944).

And speaking of news, how about CBS: German shortwave says the invasion has begun.

BBC: Communiqué Number One, Allied Expeditionary Force.

Kate Smith: "Pray For Our Troops" (contrast with this).

Ronald Colman reads a D-Day poem by Edna St. Vincent Millay.

"Bulletin on the Success of the Landing."

"FDR prays."
