Lesson unlearned

Portland Indymedia (all sic, of course):
support Eco Political Prisoner Grant Barnes

author: Dirty
Yes, Dirty.
Grant is currently serving a 12 year sentence for ELF related actions. Please take a moment to write him a letter and show this Brother he is nor forgotten.
Not Elf-related actions. ELF-related. A little background from the Rocky last year:
A man who set firebombs in seven large SUVs last March pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 12 years in prison Wednesday.

Grant Barnes, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of using an incendiary device and one count of second-degree arson.

Barnes, suspected of using the methods of the eco-terrorist group Earth Liberation Front, was arrested March 22 for allegedly setting off or trying to ignite firebombs under the SUVs over four days from March 18 to March 21. The targeted cars were parked in the Cherry Creek and Lowry neighborhoods.
Dirty continues:

In a recent letter from Eco Political Prisoner Grant Barnes he made a few requests. He says in part "Challenging reading material is hard to get here but More then anything I enjoy correspondence.... please feel free to pass my address around." I get the impression from his letters that mail for him is pretty hit or miss. It would do a lot to lift his spirits if folks would write him. . . .

Grant Would like books on Marxist theory and history also anything related to a non Marxist perspective on anti imperialism, feminism and primitivism. Welcomes zines as well as books.

As for specific authors anything by Perman, Chomsky, Ward Churchill, Zerzan, Bonanno, or Debrod.

That'll help the rehabilitation process.
Grants says "CD's go to the same address and must come from a store or distributor and should be addressed as below with an invoice and/or letter saying detailing all items included and who they are for. Hes looking for Animal or eco related hardcore or punk but says he likes to listen to folk music from time to time as well. He has yet to receive a CD since being locked up and would love to receive one.
Eco-related hardcore? Think I'll send him some folk music instead.
