It's that time of year when performing arts groups unveil next season's offerings with great excitement - and crossed fingers.
Soon the Colorado Symphony Orchestra is expected to join the parade, revealing details of the 2008-09 season while hoping that music lovers will share the enthusiasm.
So why is it that groups such as the symphony, the opera and the ballet never ask us what we'd like to see and hear?
