Three hikers exploring caves on Saturday afternoon stumbled across a partially mummified body in a cave east of Glenwood Springs, and it appears the man had been dead for several weeks.Just looked like me, though my face has pretty much dried out.
"The hands were already starting to mummify," Garfield County deputy coroner Thomas Walton said this morning. "The face hadn't started to dry out."
