Feminists: Imperialist "brother dicks" of R!68 hate women, support patriarchy

The feminist blog Women's Space discovers that Re!!!!create68 doesn't give a shit about women. Funnily (I claim) the original post is actually a plug for !R68, but after a bunch of verbiage about what the group's "feminist platform" should be, commenter Tasha learns--from R68 co-founder Barbara Cohen, it must have been, though she doesn't say--that R68 isn't going to have a women's plank at all--or even a march dedicated to the plight of women.

Here's Tasha's reaction. It's incredibly long, but D-blog readers' time is worthless by definition, so just try to ease your way into it--maybe read the all-caps parts first, where she recounts how she told Cohen off, but good. You'll get caught up in it. Of course, as with many far-lefty wordsmiths, Tasha's writing is, frankly, retarded. There are way too many defugalties to sic them individually, so here's a blanket sic: everything, including the paragraphing, SIC):

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE ok, well, I’ll make this short,

when we were talking today about the tables/parks, etc, that the 68 have permits on…the woman I was talking to,

said that there was already a very controlled agenda–that had been in the works for about a year/and a half, ok, understandable there–but, when it got to the Women’s Issues, I was met with a very cold defiance, and was in so many words told,

that they Had women that were going to speak on the anti-war, immigrants rights, and civil liberties, pretty much, for the Chicano groups here, and for MoveOn.org/and those groups,

and it wasn’t going to be possible for ‘room’ for a Woman’s platform and besides, they are ‘mixing’ women’s concerns in all those issues because they are linked–

meaning, o.k. for those of you who may not be acquainted with how far left/fringe groups work here…[and this is something that has been transpiring within the far left for couple of years, changes so, its long story], but anyway,

summing it up, o.k., they don’t Want any anti-patriarchy [one, if offends many Chicano groups [MEN] and other Nationalist type of groups [MEN] and some of the anti-war groups [MEN], etc etc etc., and then,

though she’s feminist [she said like at the end of our talk....arrrrgh], feminism must be combined with you know, what the MEN want. In other words,

any feminism that isn’t in accordance to Obedience to MEN, is not allowed. That type of crock, the we want women’s rights but Inclusion, geesh if I hear that damn word again, Inclusion I’ll scream,

pretty much, we’ll tolerate women’s rights/if its under MALE PATERNALISM,

well, then she said, that they put out bulletins on mail lists for past year [funny I'm on most of them and never saw a one] AND that they had all the permits pretty much to the parks, and that if Any woman’s group or any other group wanted to table, they would need to get approval from such and such blah blah blah Blah blah…

in other words, its not grass roots–thats in name only–its controlled by a very tight group here, I’ve dealt with some of them before, and, well Then I found out, I guess when this whole 68 started, there was a split,

and its over those control issues, so, and the really hilarious thing is, the certain people who are holding the strings somewhat, are not low income, they are not like, o.k., the radical bent, many are in the Academia-Activism [they have a lot of tight control here too], and its not just like, in women’s rights,

but like, we’ve run into this too when addressing poverty issues, and so forth. Its very paternalistic, and very hard for smaller groups or groups that are a different nature, to get in, you have to pull a lot of strings and jump a LOT of hoops,

and usually that can be done, but because this is like the DNC and all the stuff around Obama–there are some other agendas going on and, well,

put it this way, the DNC, is very insulated from critics. By, the critics around DNC–does that make sense?

How they pulled this off I don’t know, well, no, I do know, but, well, it will be a nice show piece–

now, what Was interesting,

the woman really wanted to pump me for information about the women coming down for the Women’s March or the ones for Hilary–and wanted me to bring all this info–

forget it, their problem, not mine. I’m marching with the women, if there are women who want to march IN OPPOSITION TO MISOGYNY AND PATRIARCHY…

otherwise, the rest, can go fuck themselves [pardon the french].

I’d be the same way if it was like, having to choose whether to march with the rich rather than against poverty, in other words, I have several times refused to work with those segments of progressives that are just down outright snotty shits to the poor–they use the poor and their misery to boost their pr image, and I won’t work with them either…

and same way with women’s rights, either they are Against the oppression of women in Every area, or they are not, and, this woman was a die hard Sell out,

anyway, I guess I had just had about enough, and I asked her, “if you are a feminist and all these other women then Why in the hell didn’t you push for a Women’s Rights platform a year ago”,

no answer, just, the same ole crock of crap–like, these are the types that go, yea I’m feminist but I support men’s right to porn type of mentality,

or, I’m feminist but hey, if they want to rape three year old little girls who are we to say anything, its their culture,

that crap and I do mean crap. You know I never could figure how a woman, professing to be for Women, could sit there, and say,

damn I want my abortion rights and there shouldn’t be rape but, oh, wait, if They rape and forbid abortion, well who are we to say anything because that is just, well, whitey type of imperialism and all that garbage…oh, Thats right,

and I asked her, dead on, “When do we Address and stop Enabling all the Excuses for the shit men do to women, and When do we stop the hypocrisy in our demands against imperialism but then we Tolerate all forms of male imperialism against women, their bodies, their futures, their lives, their spaces, and When do we END violence against women and stop pandering to every misogynist out there, etc.,

and of course it was the repeat, repeat we’ve organized blah blah blah, you know, the diversion tactics,

then, I said, “you know what, you’re right, why not, instead, set up an Embrace Patriarchy platform and just say it, lets revert all the progress we’ve ever made as women, lets make domestic violence legal again, lets not do anything about rape and not only that, lets just tell women to shut up and take it, lets go back to no birth control and no abortion and no choice and lets go back allow Sharia and fgms and all the abuse and just tell women to shut up and be obedient and go back to their place,

and, lets do that because THEN, WE’LL HAVE THE SUPPORT OF OUR BROTHERS AND THE SUPPORT OF ALL THE MEN AND WE WON’T EVER HAVE TO EVER AGAIN

and of course she was like blowing me off there [this was before I went off] but I said, thats nice, prison rights, sure, But we need a Platform that addresses Women’s rights because These women are in Prison for fighting being RAPED because goddamn they didn’t lie down and just take the shit and not only that, well by golly they weren’t Het women so you know, how DARE they not want to like, be fucked by some man, and now they are in Prison for doing what ANY HUMAN BEING WOULD DO AND FIGHT, WHICH IS SURVIVAL INSTINCT…if one is in touch with their Humanity,

and I was just like, Geesh I might as well be talking to some damn Bible thumper submit to your husband woman,

jgm again--Sorry, every time I started to cut Tasha's ignoration down another mind-boggling example of incoherence, insanity, inanity, stupidity or outrageousness stopped me. So I just posted the whole comment. I even gleaned a couple of hmmmm newsbits from ol' Tash, like that some disgruntled feminists are trying to put together a Million Woman March for the convention. It's subtitle: "Rise Hillary Rise" (which I believe the Manson family painted in blood on a wall during one of their murders).

And this, from the body of the post, when Tasha still thought R!68 was cool:
